Job description

Strategy & Media Planning

  • Architect Digital Strategies: Own end-to-end digital media strategies and allocate budgets across channels (Search, Social, Programmatic, etc.) to power key campaigns and exceed expectations.

  • Consumer & Market Intelligence: Develop detailed portraits of potential consumers—analyzing demographics, motivations, and media habits—while tracking industry trends and category overviews to provide executive-ready insights and decision-making recommendations.

  • Innovation & Growth: Identify growth opportunities within small to midsize accounts and propose bold, emerging tech solutions and best practices that keep our clients on the cutting edge.

  • The Pitch Lead: Act as a core strategic lead of new business pitches, using your strategic insights to shape proposals that align perfectly with prospective client goals.

Client Partnership & Storytelling

  • Direct Strategic Counsel: Build deep, trust-based relationships with clients by understanding their business goals and proactively addressing challenges.

  • Insightful Reporting: Review campaign data from the client’s perspective, turning complex metrics into clear, compelling stories and actionable recommendations.

  • Case Study Development: Analyze the effectiveness of past campaigns to create case studies that highlight our expertise and provide a blueprint for future success.

  • Day to Day Support: Oversee day-to-day account health through team leadership, prioritization and decision-making.

Internal Collaboration

  • Cross-Functional Synergy: Work hand-in-hand with Client Service and MPO Leads to ensure strategies are executed seamlessly and projects remain aligned with client expectations.

  • Strategic Support: Assist internal teams by providing educational materials, sharing media "Points of View" (POVs), and developing training programs to elevate collective expertise.

  • Issue Resolution: Collaborate with Client Service and technical teams to resolve campaign challenges proactively, remaining flexible to market shifts.

  • Planning Team Support: Provide strategic direction & oversight to the Planning team, ensuring plans are insight-led, scalable and aligned with clients' business goals.

Job requirements

  • The Experience: 6+ years of experience in strategic media planning or digital planning within an advertising agency, and/or experience in client-facing roles, such as account management or client service.

  • Digital Mastery: A deep, hands-on understanding of the digital media ecosystem, including proficiency in DV360, TheTradeDesk, Amazon, Meta, Google Ads, and other various programmatic DSPs.

  • Strategic Intuition: The ability to manage large volumes of data and translate it into powerful insights and persuasive storytelling.

  • The "Partner" Mindset: A proactive, eager attitude with the ability to handle a varied workload and thrive under occasional time pressure.

  • Technical Literacy: High proficiency in Google Suite and modern project management tools; you are someone who is always "two steps ahead."

  • Collaborative Spirit: A natural curiosity and the ability to work effectively as part of a high-functioning team, challenging the status quo to deliver beyond conventional standards.

  • Leadership & Mentorship: Proven experience leading, mentoring and developing high-performing strategy and planning teams.
